Yesterday, I was informed that some friends abroad had relatives who were among the many ONDOY flood victims. These past few days, we’ve been rummaging through old clothes and packing them into shipping boxes to be given away. I was told that a friend has an 8-month-old niece among those who lost their homes (and clothes, etc) to the flood.

I was excited knowing I had so much to give. Mikee has a lot of old clothes that would fit the 8-month-old baby. I was dismayed to discover though that those clothes that were in the storage downstairs were stolen by the previous nanny!!! (I remember her telling me that her daughter is much smaller than Mikee) I even have several dresses stored in a cabinet upstairs, only 3 dresses were left.

Good thing though, that on top of that cabinet I have stored several other stuff. I was able to give hardly (or never been) used baby blankets, and blouses and pajamas.

It sure feels good to share. We are fortunate for God has given us the chance to help.

Being a photography enthusiast, it is quite expected I’d be checking camera gears and accessories during our trip. Nathan road is actually full of shops selling electronics and auto accessories. I of course expect they would be much more affordable than in Manila.

Much to my disappointment, I thought that the external flash that I’ve been meaning (dreaming) to buy is 50% more expensive there compared to Quiapo.

When I came back to Manila, I suddenly remembered that the price that I had in mind was that of a second hand flash, not a brand new one. In short (after calculations), it is actually 40% cheaper in Hong Kong.

Last Sunday, September 13th, Disney has begun their Halloween! Your favorite rides have been transformed into ghoulish adventures.

Instead of the usual parade, Disney will have not just one, but two parades! The second one, being on the evening, is called the Glow in the Park Halloween Parade. This is your chance to dance along with Jack Skellington (of Tim Burton’s Nightmare before Christmas movie) and his creepy Pumpkin Men, the Disney villains among others who all transform and glow in the dark!

In so many teen flick that girls adore the French. There is an impression that French women have really slim bodies. I wonder if I can achieve that slimness too after taking Solo Slim for a month or two.

Anyway, aside from the accent and slimness, I wish I know how to speak and read French. Just like today, I stumbled on this nice bloggie that gives away free nice QPs. Good thing though that the blogger is nice enough to blog in English and translate some in French. It would be just cool if I can comment on her blog in French too.

Eight days from now, I will be visiting Hong Kong with my sister, mom and aunt. Initially, we planned on going to Macau after shopping clothes, bags and loose diamonds. But change of plans, we are going to Disneyland instead. Works for me, as I can at least study the photo opportunities when my family and in-laws goes back in October.

I love browsing more than watching TV. I could learn anything from hcg shots austin to shopping sales. One of the nicest things about hopping from one blog to another is finding freebies along the way. Who am I not to share what I found?

I honestly do not understand the rest of the words in their (non English) shop, but I saw the word “Free” so I guess that’s good enough for me. And who wouldn’t want a freebie this pretty?

My other option is to buy several digital frames and display one in each room. Oh, it would be a nice gift for my parents.

I can’t exactly remember when, but I was watching a local talk show. The topic was about how certain foods can affect the appearance of your teeth. According to the guest dentist, if you love drinking cola, you can just use straw instead of gulping it straight from the can, to avoid discoloration on your teeth.

Then one guest, a former beauty queen, asked how to take care of veneers. She shared that her real teeth are small, and that beauty queens are expected to have long teeth. So that’s why. Oooh! So that’s why all the contestants have long teeth. I’ve always wondered about that. In my mind, I’d look just great having longer (and whiter) teeth, tanned skin and shiny bouncy hair.

But won’t that feel weird? I’m thinking if my healthy teeth were to be covered with veneers which are longer than my actual teeth, and dental implants Plano on my gap, wouldn’t my face look different? I guess longer. Hmm, not bad. Just vain.
