English please.
Once again, we are faced with the same dilemma. Not all people here in Macau could speak English. We encountered this problem when we were in Hong Kong last year. While the husband tells me one time they were trying to order pizza in Poland with his team mates but gave up eventually as they could not understand each other. You see, I wanted to buy Meclizine that I could take for our ferry ride tomorrow but I was a bit worried that they won’t understand me and give me a medicine for something else, say like, eczema.
Earlier, husband was trying to order food, to go, but they could not understand him waving their hands signifying for him to come in. I asked him why he did not just do the “going out” sign (using your thumbs like you are to hitch hike). He chuckled and challenged me to do it once myself.
No, thanks.
