my Instax bag.

I finally found a nice bag for my Instax that doesn’t cost as much as those cute ones I found in Etsy. Lookie!

I’m thinking if I should give something like this to a friend who just opened her own business. She owns an Instax and likes pink stuff too. Unfortunately, this is currently out of stock according to the seller. And I need to buy any confection congratulations gifts for my friend soon.

I bet she’d be happy to receive a cake or anything sweet too! Perhaps, a strawberry flavored cake? :)

a little something

I’ve been wanting to start planning the family budget for 2012 but honestly, it scares me. For one, we are going on a local trip next summer… and Theo’s turning 1 (and it’s customary to throw a party on the 1st birthday)… and Mikee is likely to be enrolling to a big school… and we are moving to our new house too. *FAINT*

So even if I wanted to shop for new stuff like equestrian helmets and a new phone before Christmas, I can’t bring myself to. I’d be very guilty.

But I bought a little something for myself, which will arrive Manila on Dec 23rd. I won’t disclose it yet (but if you’re following me on Instagram, you know). I’ll blog about it once it arrives. ;)

Not ordering photobooks this time.

I am glad to know that Walking Dead season 2 will start in 2 weeks. I tried to download video of its trailer last night to show to husband but I found the trailer on YouTube and shared that to him instead.

I was supposed to post some photos with my list of recommended photo editors on iPhone. But my EHD was broken (I need to edit the size) and I couldn’t find our backup EHD now. Sigh. I’m a bit sad that I couldn’t work with my EHD anymore. Although my photos are, thankfully, safe because everything that’s not on our backup EHD, I still have on my laptop. Well, I got some templates and kits too that have no backup on that EHD. What I’m sad about is the photobooks I was working on. I was trying to finish it in time for the promo code’s deadline. I guess I’ll just have to do those photobooks some other time. :(

Anyway, I am still hoping something can be done so I can get whatever work I have on my EHD. I wish I know where I can have it fixed. The only thing that’s broken is the port, all other parts are intact.

Where to, madam?

I know someone (really close to me) who kept buying things that in my opinion are a bit expensive but are not much needed. I remember her buying a massage machine which she used once or twice only. She opted to just visit a spa twice a month. Haha.

When she bought her GPS, I was glad because I know she’d need it. She likes to drive around. It wasn’t like a gps for truckers type but still a very useful one. And boy, she used it a lot. I can truly say that one was a good buy.

But then, she bought an iPad, which she now uses for directions and maps. Although, even without admitting, I know it’s a bit harder for her to use it than her more conveniently installed GPS. In this case, the GPS wins. But I guess she wants to justify her iPad purchase. (She isn’t much of an ebook reader or a gamer.) Well, at least she sold her GPS, unlike her massage machine which has just accumulated dust in her shelf. ;)

early shopping

If only I waited a bit longer, I would have known about costume kingdom coupons at dropdowndeals before I actually purchase my kids’ costumes. But I was in a hurry, was afraid they won’t arrive at my aunt’s place in time for her flight.

Anyway, my daughter decided to be mermaid this year. This time, it’s final as I no longer have budget for additional costume in case she suddenly changes her mind again.

Found some interesting kits while browsing at digishoptalk.com

costume talk.

My daughter, just like last year, insists she wants a mermaid costume for Halloween this year. Last year, she decided early January but changed her mind sometime in August/September, just when I was about to order online. She wanted to be Jessie (from Toy Story) instead. I didn’t mind because I haven’t ordered anything yet that time.

This year, my daughter remembered she wanted a mermaid costume. I’m a bit reluctant. You see, I have decided on what to buy for our baby boy (yes, as early as now) and I’m excited to buy my daughter a matching costume. But if she’ll wear a mermaid costume, and I want them to match, I’d have to settle with a Sebastian/lobster bunting for my son, which I think isn’t such a good idea. Sigh.

capturing memories

I have come to love our SLR. I know there are now newer models of dslr cameras but I might stick with ours for a long time. For one, I have no budget to buy a newer model that has video capabilities. Second, I’d rather buy a digicam (and use it for video purposes) so I have a more compact option in case I am too lazy to carry our SLR.

So for our son’s birth, we might buy a new digicam, or just opt to use our 5-year-old digicam, videos of which are ok but not super. Well, better that we’ll have some videos than none at all. ;)

parties

As early as now, my mind sometimes gets filled with party ideas for our baby’s baptismal party happening perhaps in August. Not only that, I started thinking of themes to use if in case the baby’s birthday comes close to Mikee’s birthday. Meaning, we will have to celebrate the baby’s first birthday and Mikee’s 6th birthday with just one big party.

I wonder if it would be a big deal for the 2 kids to celebrate their birthdays with just one party. It might not be while they were young but I wonder years from now, what would the younger one feel if everybody gets gaga thinking over big sister’s 18th birthday gifts on his/her 13th birthday. See? It’s different when you’re young, and when you’re in your teens. As they say, feelings are magnified and more focused on when you’re in your teens. These are the times when you feel the world should revolve around you. Or your parents are against your total happiness.

Geez, I should stop worrying, especially during pregnancy. I still have 13 years to do that.

a little behind

Unlike most people who had heard the sound of barcode scanners so much these past few days, I haven’t done most of our Christmas shopping. All I shopped were the ones I ordered online, and one outfit that my daughter chose herself.

I haven’t found the time and energy to buy Santa’s gift to the little girl. I hope to buy soon while the item’s still on sale. Plus, I need to buy some gifts for couple friends soon as we are meeting on the 21st. Oh yeah, let’s not forget the Christmas outfit for me and the husband. ;)

guessing game.

While some are very good in coming up with holiday gift ideas, I always fall short on this category. I am always clueless as what to give a person even if I know that person really well. Sometimes, I feel that one doesn’t need anything anymore but when Christmastime comes, I’d be surprised at how happy that person is receiving items that he/she already owns. Well not exactly the same, but similar.

I hope that this year, I’d be able to “guess” better.
